There’s almost nothing else on Point Loma, so you have to drive to go do anything (including going grocery shopping). Rooms are quiet, you’ll just hear the SH-60 helicopters flying in and out of North Island all day and into the evening (but you get used to it). You get to see everything coming in and out to San Diego, so you can see a lot of cool boats and ships. Great views, and walking distance to a small grilling area and the Smuggler’s Cove beach, that had fire pits. Room was super clean and in good shape.no complaints at all! Bedroom had a ceiling fan and there was a stand up fan in the closet, so there’s no reason for AC. Sitting area had 2 chairs and a small desk, and a small shared patio that was more like a walkway to my neighbor’s room. Was on the first floor and I had a small fridge/freezer, microwave, and a Keurig. Great location, and the suites are a little bit cheaper because they don’t have heat or AC. Came to Point Loma for AT, and stayed in a suite.
